General Mother's Groups: You can go here to meet other moms and gain help and support

Vassar New Mother's Group: This group is for moms of infants 12 months and under. It is open to any mother and her baby(ies), no matter where you delivered your baby. It is a support group where you can ask and find answers to your questions. The group meets every Wednesday at the Joseph Tower building behind Vassar Hospital from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Northern Dutchess Mother's Group: This group is for moms and their children, aged 5 years and younger. It is open to any mom and her baby(ies), no matter where they delivered. It is a play group style meeting where moms can chat while their children play. A wide variety of activities are offered. This group meets every Thursday morning from 10:00 to Noon and the cost is $3.00 per session. Vassar Mother's Club: This group meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m in Conference Room B at Vassar Brother's Hospital.. Please contact Barbara Ann Fonts at 845-485-7146 or call the Volunteer Office Phone at the Hospital at 845-431-5664.	Mother & Baby Exercise Class: This is a class at Northern Dutchess Hospital, run by a physical therapist. It is for moms and their infants starting at 6 weeks postpartum (a medical clearance is needed if you wish to start earlier). Babies must be pre-crawlers. The class meets on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10:30- 12:00 and is open to anyone but you must register. There is a fee for the classes. Call Cathy Leonard, (845) 871-3427 for information.
Northern Dutchess New Mother's Support Group: This is a support group for new mothers. Meetings take place on Wednesdays at the Birthing Center. Call (877)729-2444 for information. Ask to speak with Mary Nettles when calling.
New Windsor Mother's Club, located in Ulster County, more info to come.	Mothers of Multiples Group of Dutchess County . A group for moms of twins, triplets and quadruplets meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm at Vassar Brother's Hospital. Call 845-691-4212 for information. Their website has lots of information and links for families with twins, triplets and more.
Mom's Network, a local chapter of the Mom's Network, an organization for work-at-home mothers meets monthly in the Poughkeepsie area. Call 845-485-7221 for information.	New Parent Support at the Jewish Community Center. Stroll-in for support and guidence from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursdays. Early childhood speacialist, Susan Goodman Goldstein facilitates. Mid Hudson Children's Museum. The museum runs a variety of programs for children 12 months and older. They are located on North Water St, near the Poughkeepsie train station. They have Play Groups for various ages. Call them for more information at 845-297-5938

Alamo EMS offers car seat inspections. They also offer the WHALE stickers. These stickers are placed on your car windows and and informational sticker is placed on your car seat with emergency information for your baby in case that you are in an accident and unable to provide that information. 845-471-6618
